The Atmosphere
Casa Rosa still holds the soul of the home it once was. The living room is now our main dining area, where laughter fills the space just like it used to. The sunroom offers a bright, cozy spot for a quiet lunch or glass of wine. Even the old kitchen, once filled with family recipes, now hums with the rhythm of a professional kitchen. Every corner tells a story, and now it’s your turn to be part of it.
Our Story
Frank Wagner spent years dreaming of opening a fine dining Italian restaurant. Not something flashy, but something real. A place built on good food, comfort, and care. Somewhere you could slow down, share a meal, and feel like you were visiting family. The kind of place where the food is made from scratch and the people remember your name.
In 2021, he and his wife Mimi found the perfect starting point, a red house on Chillicothe Road in Kirtland, Ohio. It was once divided into apartments. Now it’s Casa Rosa Cucina. They turned old living rooms into dining spaces. The garage became the kitchen. There’s a bar downstairs and a cozy lounge upstairs with couches and a television. Every room still feels like a home, just with better food.
Casa Rosa serves Italian-inspired dishes with a Mediterranean touch. The chef is known for veal, steak, seafood, and handmade pastas. Every plate is made from scratch, with flavors that feel both familiar and unexpected. This is the dream Frank carried since he was a kid. Built slowly, carefully, and with heart.
